Tom Moylan is a political communication specialist currently working as a Research Fellow in the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His research area lies at the meeting point between digital media and civic life. Previously he worked in various communications roles in the European Commission, working first as a social media manager and later a digital strategist. Later he worked with high-level officials and politicians, including as speechwriter to the Commissioner for Trade and as an adviser to the Director-General for Communication, where he focused on public opinion and other forms of data analysis to inform the European Commission's corporate communication strategy.
